September 15, 2024. Halloween Gourd Workshop. 2-5 PM

Learn how to make a gourd into a Jack O’Gourd or a Skeleton Head or come with your own gourd project in mind! You’ll learn how to prep the gourd, clean out the inside and turn it into a beautiful gourd project using stains, and wood-burners. All materials are furnished. Cost is $25 per person and refreshments are served.

September 22,2024 Beginner or Advanced Stained Glass Workshop 2-5 pm

  This workshop teaches you how to use and make a pattern, use it to cut out your glass, how to prep your glass, how to tape your glass to prepare it to solder. You’re shown how to use the stain glass tools and equipment to make a piece to hang in your window. All materials are included in the fee and refreshments are served. Cost for the workshop is $25 per person.

National ALPACA Farm Days October 5 & 6, 2024 noon to 5pm both days

Pony Rides, Hand Feed the Alpacas and other animals, Blacksmithing, Bean Soup & corn bread, demonstrations on using fiber and visit the Farm Store.  Lots of Pumpkins, gourds and materials for your Fall decorating. Free Event

OCTOBER 22,23,24, 2024 Learn to Make a Braided Rug with Marjorie Corrow 9am-5pm Lunch/Snacks included

Learn the basics of how to construct a braided rug out of wool clothing or yardage. Course includes beginning with a “T-Start” shaping into an oval or round rug, the basics of a heart shaped rectangular or square rugs and how to taper your rug and end it. Includes how wide to make your strips, use braid aids, how to lace your rows together, and any pitfalls that may come up including “Why is my rug not flat?” Note this class could be up to two days depending on your progress. Ask for Materials list. Class cost $125+/- Very One-on-0ne instruction

November 10, 2024 Victorian Garland Making Workshop 2-5 pm

  No one enjoyed the holidays more than the Victorians and they excelled in decorating. Learn to make Victorian Garland just in time for the holidays. Use natural items such as pinecones, dried fruit and flowers, ribbon and whatever else you care to expertly weave into your, artificial pine garland. Your garland when finished will be around, 9 feet +/- in length. You can decide when you are putting it together if you want it to be permanent or have the ability to change out the items for a different color scheme. All materials are included in the fee. Cost for the class is $30 per person and refreshments are served. (Note: if you want to add lights there will be an additional fee of $5) 

November 10, 2024 Sourdough Bread Workshop 2-5 pm

  Learn how to make sourdough, how to make two kinds of bread using the sourdough starter. Plus, you learn how to make amazing cinnamon rolls with the sourdough. Cost for the class is $25 per person, includes all materials and plenty to eat. Plus, you’ll leave with your own container of sourdough starter. 

November 17, 2024 Pinecone Christmas Tree w/Fiber Alpaca Balls Workshop 2-5 pm

You’ll be using a pinecone and different colors of alpaca fiber, turning the fiber into balls and placing them on your pinecone. Then you can add mini lights and decorative snow to decorate the tree. The pinecone will be secured in a flowerpot. You can decorate your home with your new Pinecone tree. Cost $25 per person, includes all materials and refreshments will be served. 

December 1, 2024 Fused Glass Workshop 2-5 pm

Learn how to cut glass to make into necklaces, bracelets, earrings, bookmarks, wine stops, etc. You’ll learn about glass ecoefficiency, how to cut, clean and layer glass to get it ready for the kiln to be fused. You’ll make up to five pieces. Cost $55.00 includes all materials.
